What are the Torque VR Pants?
The Torque VR Pants are warm, comfortable, tough and highly breathable softshell trousers featuring Rab's Vapour-Rise system. They're perfect when you require a little extra warmth than your standard softshell trousers without sacrificing heavily on breathability.
What are they made of?
Rab use their Matrix softshell fabric for the majority of the trousers. This fabric is highly wind-resistant, water-resistant and stretchy, making it a great material to use for these versatile pieces of legwear. Reinforcements have been added to the knees and ankle patches to deal with regular abrasion. This sounds fairly standard, but moving to the inside is where the difference lies! The inner is lined with a super-soft brushed fabric which wicks away sweat when you're working hard and offers additional warmth on cold outings. On top of all the techy benefits, it feels great next to skin and is softer than a kitten.
What are their features?
On the lower leg, there's a zipped ankle gusset which allows the trousers to fit over bulky mountaineering boots as well as lightweight walking shoes. Moving up, you've got zipped thigh vents to dump heat quickly. Storage-wise, there are two hand pockets, one thigh pocket and one rear pocket; more than enough for all your usual bits and bobs. If you're planning to use these trousers for winter mountaineering, you'll appreciate the brace attachment points (braces not included).
