Nike SB Dunk High Pro ‘Gundam’ Shoes in White and Amarillo. Paying homage to the late ‘70s and to Japanese Gundam collector culture, the Nike SB Dunk High Pro ‘Gundam’ is an expressive revision of the courtside classic that arrives in quick succession to other Tokyo-themed releases for 2021. Styled with premium uppers crafted from plush, crisp white leather with high contrast red underlays and metallic gold angular variations of the brand’s iconic sidewall Swoosh, these futuristic high tops also feature robotic inspired joints and paneled seams for a mechanical twist inspired by the iconic 2D anime cartoon. An integrated Zoom Air unit provides ample structural support and high energy cushioning when required, with the revised forefoot perforations styled to complement the colour blocked soles influenced by the look of Gundam robot feet. A full length cupsole stitch is paired with a circular underfoot tread of increased resilience and all-terrain functionality, with the recessed 9 eyelet lacing system styled with four sets of interchangeable laces to help personalise any desired look. An embroidered green and gold ‘Nike SB Dunk High Pro’ tongue helps provide a snug and secure fit to suit, whilst the two tone pink and black interior lining is mirrored by a tonal black and red leather brace across the rear for further structural support. Each exterior is styled with a detachable, velcro-fastened 3D golden Swoosh, with the exterior facing lateral quarter debossed with protagonist Banagher Links’ RX-0 Unicorn Gundam logo with collaborative ‘RX-0 Dunk High’ warning print displayed beneath its Swoosh themed redesign.

Named after Generation Unsubdued Nuclear Drive Assault Modules (GUNDAM) from anime culture and ultimately inspired by Harutoshi Fukui’s fictional character Banagher Links’ RX-0 Unicorn Gundam persona, the Nike SB Dunk High Pro ‘Gundam’ is a creative and conceptualised design that honours the skatewear subdivision’s passion for ideational design and their continued reference to Japanese street, skate and contemporary culture.
